Friendly staff. Family run place it seems, good food. I got the hot and sour soup and the general tao chicken. A downside to buying a dish is that rice is not included. Portion sizes are pretty small too. The hot and sour soup was more sweet than anything else. Atmosphere of the place is kind of dull. No music. Not too busy. I did however order takeout from here once and it was kind of disappointing. The price seemed really good but what we got was not worth it.

I have ordered from them a few times before. I placed a order for New Year Eve.Was told I could pick it up in 45minutes took 1hour and 30 to get the food.Next day I was sick to my stomach I will not be buying from there anymore

Food met all expectations. Food was hot and was in decent sized portions. The sweet and sour pork was a hit. I have been searching tons of resturants to find a sweet and sour pork that did not resemble and chicken ball and this place produced just what I was looking for. Will order again!!!

Amazing service and great food

This is my first time ordering from Oaks Garden and I had to literally stop mid-bite to write a review. Their food is delicious- not drenched in sauce, just the right balance between seasoning and natural flavours. I ordered the Little Bit Of Everything and Shrimp with Cashews. It's all amazing. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Great food at a reasonable price, plus friendly service and atmosphere. My family has made coming here a tradition we all love.

Finally found a Chinese food place is Oakville that meets all my expectations and they're a 10 minute walk away! So glad I decided to give them a try. Will only order from here for now on for Chinese food!

I have been going here for over 30 years and now never again. OrderedSept 10 and it was crap. Ribs tasted like fish, Rice was colored yellow and the chicken balls were greasy with a small 3/4" square piece of chicken. Since the new owners took over it has hit bottom.

This is not Joel writing this review, but his mother. We have ordered from Oaks Garden since we moved to Oakville 30 years ago. Since ownership changed within the last year or so, we feel we have to move on to another restaurant as we don't feel the food is the same quality. For instance, the noodles in the Cantonese chow mein were like mush; the vegetables in one of the hot chicken dishes looked suspiciously like those one would find in a bag of frozen vegetables. Just don't like the quality of the food.

So good! Food is fresh and flavourful. Portions are huge.

Ordered for delivery to my hotel. Delivered on time, hot, as ordered. The typical Cantonese-Canadian food was delicious -- fresh, beautifully cooked and what I was yearning for. Extra plum sauce as requested :) Bonus was super friendly delivery guy!

From what I understand, new owners have taken over. I am disappointed in the food quality now. The end of an era.

Great home style food. Very good prices for what you getI really enjoyed their pork soup. My other meal (steamed vegetables and fried rice) vere also delicious and fresh. Great for the price, exactly as it seems. Veggies are fresh. Little greasy but that’s the style (not gross greasy). I love that they allow minor changes to the dishes if you ask.

The food is good but not spectacular however the service is exceptional - fast, friendly and helpful. A great place to eat in or take out.

Amazing food!

Always our "GO TO" for Chinese food in the Kerr Street area. Fast, Hot and Tasty. They'll tell you 45 minutes but its usually at your door in 25.Wonton Soup and Singapore Noodles are a must!

I walked in and ordered the general Tao chicken on their lunch special. 10 minute wait for some hot and fresh food under $10 was great value as it came with a few extras too. These extras included veggies, soup, and an egg roll.

We ordered food to celebrate new years eve with and considering how busy it was, the service was great. There was some wait time but they gave out ice water and fortune cookies to those of us waiting and you could see they were hustling but very appreciative of our business.The food was delicious and generously portioned. Super happy with everything and pleasantly surprised to find a good Chinese restaurant so close to home! Will definitely be back!

Awful take out. I threw it out and felt sick.

Ordered the pad thai, not what I expected. Sauce was a sweet and sour style instead of peanut sauce as every other pad thai.

Absolutely amazing food best Chinese in oakville hands down their chicken wings are amazing!!

Chicken Corn soup was very sweet, Cantonese noodles were not as described (or typical Cantonese noodles), was very wet, not “toasty” at all. The Black Bean Beef, spring roll and chicken fried rice was okay.
